Trojan head coach Ben Tyree signed Durham, who played four years at Sycamore, after she led the Lady War Eagles in offensive stats during her junior and senior seasons. She was also named Defensive Player of the Year her senior year and All-District both her junior and senior seasons.

This summer she played for the Murfreesboro Firebirds, who placed second in the Music City Hits tournament and fifth in the USSSA World Series in Panama City Beach, Fla.
Sycamore coach Mike Burke said Durham was a great asset to the team.

"She was our No. 4 hitter for two straight years. She always had a batting average over in her four years playing at Sycamore," Burke said.
Durham is the daughter of Kenneth and Laura Durham.
Tyree knows Durham will offer immediate help to the program, "Nikki has been anxious to join our program after gaining some valuable experience playing with the Firebirds program this summer. She loves to win and has some power with her bat and has a good glove had as well.

Durham joins Brooke Brennan (Davidson Academy), Katie Eubanks (Athens Bible), Kelsey Lantrip (Central Ala. CC), and Breanna Zeis (Murfreesboro Blackman) in this year's signing class.
