Trevecca only took 12 players on the trip due to illiness and injuries, but came away with two important wins in Kentucky. Trevecca head coach Jayme Crowley was impress with the defensive effort and serving today, "A focus for us this year has been aggressive serving that energizes the team and today it showed. Rachel Spotten and Jessica Hood delievered with their jump float serve and Kimi Coffey was aggressive with her serving."

"Coffey was particular good on the digs today and just wouldn't let the ball hit the court. Kristen Evans moved to the right side and was dominate, providing the winning kill against Asbury." Crowley continued, "The Trojans were hungry for a win today and we have to have that to compete every match. We were tougher today when we made mistakes. When the mistakes came we bounched back. If we play like that the wins will come more often than not."

Trevecca will be back at home Tuesday, Sept. 8th, at 7 p.m. to face Brescia University (0-1). The team will host its first TranSouth contest on Thursday when they host Mid-Continent (0-4) at 7 p.m.
