SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - The Trojan's (0-3-1) let a big one slip away when NAIA No. 6 Oklahoma City (3-1) scored late to take a 4-3 win at the John Brown Fall Classic.
The clock had barely begun to tick when Trevecca's Josh Forth scored a goal at the 1:44 mark. Alija Turkovic assisted and the Trojans held the lead until the 15:09 mark when OCU's Alex Gang scored his first of three consecutive goals. He also scored at 44:14 to give the Stars a 2-1 lead at the half.
Gang found the nets again at the 71:13 mark to give the Stars a two goal lead. Debran Rexhepi scored his first goal of the season and cut the Stars lead to just a goal at the 7:53 mark. Calvin da Cunha assisted on the goal. John Sheets put one between the pipes at the 76:05 mark to tie the match. Ten minutes later and with under four minutes remaining, Gang struck again with his fourth goal of the match at 86:04.
Hayden Coffman was in goal for the Trojans and had two saves.
Trevecca returns to the TNU Soccer Complex for a match with Brescia University (0-4) on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
