LEBANON, Tenn. - The Trojans (10-5, 2-1) have won their first three matches in the Cumberland Classic over the weekend. Trevecca has won four in a row. After winning two matches on Friday, the Trojans defeated Rio Grande (7-7) 25-15, 25-8, 25-20 in a 9 a.m. match and followed that up with a 1 p.m. match with Lindsey Wilson (2-11)
 
The early morning start saw the Trojans come out sluggish against Rio Grande. Trevecca trailed 14-12 before closing the game with a 13-1 run. The second game saw the Trojans rolled with an 11-3 start and 12-2 run for a 25-8 finish. The final frame was much closer though the Trojans led 18-12 before Rio Grande made it a 25-20 finish. Kaley Ward was on fire again with 12 kills, two digs, and four block assists. Ward's attack percentage was .409. Brooke Cannon had another 32 assists. Teegan Hunziker had nine kills, six service aces, and 11 digs.  
 
Trevecca will jump back into conference play next week. Still on the road TNU visits upstart Bethel University (9-1, 4-1) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. before making the trip to Batesville, Ark. on Saturday, September 25 to take on Lyon College (4-10, 0-1) at 11 a.m.) and NCAA D2 Harding University (12-2) at 1 p.m.
