NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trojans (13-7, 4-3 TSAC) were able to shut out Martin Methodist (10-7, 3-6 TSAC) 3-0 this evening at Moore Gymnasium. The win gives the Trojans their 4th TranSouth victory of the year holding them in 4th place in the conference.

 

Trevecca shot out of the gates early in all of the 3 sets starting each set with a 4-0 lead. Due to the early leads and strong play the entire Trojan roster was used. Leaders for Trevecca was Teegan Hunziker with 13 kills, one service ace, and eight digs and Jessica Hood with six kills, two service aces, and 10 digs. Kaley Ward and Rachel Spotten each had five kills with Spotten having a game high 50% attack completion rate. Brooke Cannon ended up 13 assists and a game high 11 digs and Halley Wiggins finished up with a team high 14 assists. The Trojans were never down any points in the match.

 

Up next for Trevecca Volleyball is a visit this Saturday at 5 pm to Campbellsville, Ky to play against Campbellsville University. Trevecca played and lost a heartbreaking 5 set match to Campbellsville earlier in the season. Go Trojan Volleyball!
