Lindsey Wilson took the team competition with a 324-311=635 while Lindenwood (326-330=656), University of the Cumberlands (326-333=659), Trevecca (331-330=661), Mobile (339-335=670), and Bethel College (339-334=673) rounded out the tournament field. Cumberland University also had three individuals participating.

The 330 for Trevecca today tied a single round low in program history. The two-day total of 661 breaks the school record. Trevecca had previously posted a two-day program low of 667 on two other occasions.

Individually, Maegan Rice (Mobile) took the medalist honors with a 75-75=150. The All-Tournament team included Taylor Kirby (Mobile) 73-80=153, Chelsey Taylor (Lindsey Wilson) 80-75=155, Krista Burton (Lindsey Wilson) 81-75=156, McKinzie Price (Cumberlands) 78-78=156, and Betsy Beaver (Trevecca) 79-79=158.

Trevecca senior Betsy Beaver set a TNU record when she posted two tournament rounds in the 70's. Trevecca finished just two strokes back of third place in the tournament. The two-day team total is one of the lowest in school history.

The remainder of the Trojan contingent were Ashley Birdwell in 10th with a 80-81=161, Alyssa Moe in 15th (86-83=169), Whitney Phillips (86-87=173), and Maddie Privott (97-97=194).

Trevecca coach Michael Johnson is pleased with his team's play against a stellar lineup of teams, "Well, going into the tournament, I knew it was a terrific field. Of the six teams, three or four of them will most likely be listed in the top-20 when the first NAIA poll comes out. Lindsey Wilson is clearly an outstanding team, but we were right there in the mix with everybody else."

"I'm pumped about our progress and look forward to closing out the fall in Mobile in a couple of weeks."

The Trojans will tee off one more time this fall on November 2-3 at the Mobile Invitational at the Azalea City Course in Mobile, Ala.
