BURKESVILLE, Ky. - The Trevecca men's golf team is in the lead after one round at the Lindsey Wilson Fall Invitational at the Dale Hollow State Park. Not only are the Trojans in the top spot, but so is sophomore Joey Bradley. He leads the tournament after shooting a two-under par 70 (36-34) in the first round.

 

There are 55 golfers and eight teams participating.

 

The Trojans are tied with the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) for the overall lead. Each team shot a 300 on the opening day. Lindsey Wilson is three back at 303.

 

David Saldana rolled through the course with a two-over part 74 (35-39) and sits in fifth place. Grant Moffett carded a 77 (39-38) and is in 17th place. Bobby Humburg shot a 79 (42-37) and Skip Jones rounded out the Trojans lineup with a 83 (41-42). Trevecca's Josh Fields was competing as an individual and carded 87 (44-43) in the first round.

 

Marian (Ind.) University finished the round in fourth place with a score of 307, followed by Cumberland (Tenn.) University in fifth with a 310 and Georgetown (Ky.) College coming in sixth with 316 strokes.

 

St. Catharine (Ky.) College (317) and West Virginia Tech (336) round out the standings in seventh and eighth place, respectively.

 

The tournament will conclude with a 18-hole round on Wednesday.
