NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca (3-0) defeated Michigan-Dearborn (1-3) 82-53 in the final game of the Robert Garrett Classic.
 
Matthew Elliott led four Trojans in double-figures with 16 points. The senior hit 4-of-6 from three-point range. Michael France (15), Keith Morris (13), and Jeremy Dixon (13) also hit double-figures. JP Nyadaro had eight points and a team-high seven rebounds. Marquise Rudolph and Elliott each had four assists. France and Morris had two blocks a piece. France led the team with six steals.
 
As a team Trevecca hit 32-of-54 (59%) from the field, 11-of-16 (69%) from three-point range, and 7-of-12 (58%) from the foul line. Trevecca outrebounded UMD 36-29.
 
Trevecca jumped up on Michigan-Dearborn 9-0 and led by as many as 19 (35-16) in the first half. The Wolves used a 7-0 run over the final 2:31 of the first half to cut the Trojans lead to just 12 (35-23) at the half.
 
The Wolves were still within 12 points (43-31) with 16:05 to go in the game when the Trojans gained some breathing room again with a 16-2 run that put TNU up 59-33 with 13:43 to go. Jeremy Dixon and Matthew Elliott each hit two three-pointers during the run. Trevecca outscored Dearborn 47-30 in the second half. 
 
Trevecca will host Free Will Baptist on Tuesday (November 17) at 7 p.m.
