BETHANY, Okla. - NAIA No. 13 Trevecca (3-1) dropped its first game of the season 75-59 to Oklahoma Christian (4-1) at the Soutern Nazarene Classic on Friday.
 
Trevecca's shooting was off for the game and aided the Eagles fast start. Later it helped the Eagles pull away in the second half for a second time. As a team Trevecca hit 27% (18-66) from the field, 24% (6-25) from three-point range, and 53% (17-32) from the foul line.
 
OCU pushed out to a double figure lead in the first half, but Trevecca rallied to close it to one (29-28) before the Eagles scored the first half's final basket and led 31-28 at the break. The Trojans tied the game at 33 early in the second half, but Oklahoma Christian began to build the lead again and were able to maintain a double digit lead late in the game and held off the Trojans 75-59.
 
K.C. Van Atta led Trevecca with 15 points and seven rebounds. Abby Lawson with 12 points was the only other Trojan to reach double figure scoring. Angelica Sails also had seven rebounds and two steals. Lawson also led the team with four assists and two blocks. Christian Gibson had a team high three steals..
