FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The Trevecca men's golf team participated in Franktown Open Hearts Minstry Christmas Event. Franktown is a ministry reaching inner-city youth in Franklin, Tenn.

Each Christmas over 100 participants receive shopping money through donations to buy Christmas gifts. After a great Christmas feast, each young man is paired with a mentoring volunteer family that provides guidance and transportation for them to go shopping for their family.

The Trevecca men's golf team volunteered and were able to serve Dez, one of the young men at Franktown and experience the gift of giving this Christmas!

Trevecca's David Saldana, Will Potts, and Joey Bradley and Dez started out with a "Home Cooked Meal". Later the group went shopping and returned to Franktown to wrap the gifts for Christmas.

Local television station WSMV Channel 4 included the Trevecca golf team in their story on Franktown during their "Better Nashville" program on Wednesday, December 16, 2009.
