JACKSON, Miss. - NAIA No. 13 Trevecca (8-3) fell to NAIA No. 20 Tougaloo College (7-1) 92-83. Tougaloo is located in Jackson, Tenn., but the game was hosted by Belhaven asapart of their Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.

Trevecca came out firing and led 9-2 with 18:02 on the first half clock. Tougaloo used a 14-5 run to take a two point (16-14) lead with 14:41 to go in the half. Trevecca tied the game on two more occassions. The last at 18 apiece. The Bulldogs pushed the lead to 15 points (45-30) with 4:20 on the first half clock and settled for a 13 point (51-38) half time margin.

The Bulldogs kept the pressure on and led by 20 points (70-50) at the 12:04 mark of the second half. The Trojans returned to life again with 8:32 to go in the game and the Bulldogs leading my 20 (76-56) once again. Trevecca cut the lead to nine points (84-75) with 1:15 to go. Michael France ignited the run with a field goaland later hit a three-pointer while Marquis Rudolph hit the basket that cut the lead to nine. Trevecca cut the lead to nine on two more occassions, but couldn't take the run further and lost for the third time in 11 tries this season.

Michael France led Trevecca with 24 points and had eight rebounds. France was 4-6 from three-point range and had an assist, block and two steals. Keith Morris (16), Mathew Elliott (14), and Marquise Rudolph (11) all scored in double figures. J.P. Nyadaro scored eight points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Trevecca shot 44% (28-64) from the field, 27% (6-22) from three-point range, and 75% (21-28) from the foul line.

On Saturday, December 19 the Trojans will face the host #RV Belhaven University Blazers (8-0).

Following the Classic the Trojans won't suit up again until January 7, 2010 when they host Mid-Continent University at 8 p.m.
