NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Nazarene University softball coach Ben Tyree signed his first recruit for the 2010-2011 school year with the signing of Allison Gaddis of Page High School in Franklin, Tenn.
This will be the second time Gaddis has played for Coach Tyree. Tyree was the Page coach prior to taking the Trevecca job last year. Gaddis transferred to Page as a sophomore where she helped lead the team to the top of District 10-AA.
Gaddis was named All-District in 2008 while receiving the top defensive award for the 2008 & 2009 seasons. Page also reached the Region 5-AA tournament for the first time in ten years.
Gaddis also played for her father's Middle Tennessee Thunderbolts travel team. The last two summers Gaddis has played with the Silver Bullets softball team.
"Allison will be a great addition to our program," said Tyree. "I've coached her in high school and watched her grow as a team player and leader. She will be a competitor for us quickly and her versatility will be a big plus for us. We get her great family, including her brother Aaron who just signed to play golf here at TNU."
