NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca softball coach Ben Tyree got
his second recruit for the 2010-2011 recruiting class with the signing of
Nolensville's Heather Shuler.
The Ravenwood High School senior has played for Coach
Kari Akin and helped lead Ravenwood in the outfield and was the No. 4 hitter in
the lineup. Ravenwood reached the TSSAA Sub-state Final three straight years.
For her efforts Shuler was named All-District, Ravenwood
Offensive Player of the Year
As a junior she posted a.401 batting average.
Her Middle Tennessee Thunderbolt team reached the 2007
Top 10 finish in USFA World Series and the SEAA World Series Champion
Off the field she was an honors student and volunteered
for Special Olympics.
"Heather is one of those players that come along
that makes a big play, whether with the bat or glove every game," said
coach Tyree. "She is excited to become a Lady Trojan and we are excited to
have her. She also comes with a great family and is someone that Trevecca will
be proud of when she is finished."
