PADUCAH, Ky. - The No. 12 Trevecca Trojans (15-5, 7-1 TSAC) got back on the winning track Thursday night with an 82-59 victory over Mid-Continent (3-17, 1-7 TSAC) in a game played at Paducah
Tilghman High School. Trevecca is now 8-0 all-time versus Mid-Continent.

The game went back and forth early, with the lead changing hands five times in the game's opening moments. Mid-Continent led 7-6 before a K.C. Van Atta 3-pointer gave the Trojans a lead they would never relinquish. Van Atta's shot sparked a 34-7 Trojan run over the next 12:08 to give Trevecca its largest lead at 40-24.  However, Mid-Continent continued to fight, finishing the half on a 20-4 run to close the gap to 10, 44-34.  But the Trojans opened the second half on a 21-11 run to push the lead back to 20 and cruised to the win.

Van Atta paced four Trojans in double figures with 18 points; Chelsey Taylor added a career-high 15, Paige McFarlin contributed a double-double, with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Christian Gibson chipped in with 12.  Mid-Continent's Katelyn Perry led all scorers with 19 points and added 12 rebounds.

The Trojans only shot 38% (26-68), which included just 4-17 (24%) from 3-point range, but helped their cause by hitting 26-32 (81%) from the free throw line.  Mid-Continent made only 20-64 (31%) from the field, including only 2-14 (14%) from 3-point range, and committed 24 turnovers.
