NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca volleyball coach Jayme Crowley is pleased to announce the signing of Shelby Sorce from Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona.
"Shelby is going to have a tremendous impact on our program over the next four years," commented coach Crowley. "She displays the necessary characteristics that I look for in a libero. She has a natural feel for the ball, is a positive floor general and captain, is instinctive and plays with tremendous consistency."
"Her experience, intelligence and toughness will take us to another level. Shelby not only has talent but will be a great mission fit to our university and program with her tremendous character traits and unselfish TEAM first attitude."
Sorce has been a varsity starter for 5A powerhouse Hamilton High School for the past three years earning All-Fiesta Region honors her senior year and helped lead her team (33-11) to a final four in the state tournament.
The five-foot-eight libero has played at Arizona East Valley Juniors Volleyball Club for the past seven years. Three of those years she helped lead her team to the Nationals.
Sorce has served as the captain for both her high school and club teams.
