HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Trevecca Trojans (19-8, 10-4 TranSouth), #RV in this week's NAIA men's Division I basketball poll, defeated No. 20 Freed-Hardeman (17-9, 10-3 TranSouth) 95-87 on Thursday night. The two teams split the season series, with each team winning on the other's home court, and Trevecca now leads the all-time series 55-25.

The Trojans took an 11-9 lead with 14:10 left in the first half and never trailed again. An 11-4 run to close the half gave Trevecca a 42-33 lead at the break, and the lead grew as large as 16 points early in the second half as the Trojans were in control most of the game. All five Trojan starters scored in double figures, and the Trojans shot 59% for the game to get the win.

Michael France led the way with a career-high 34 points, and added five rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals. Matthew Elliott added 20, while Marquise Rudolph had a double-double, with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and added six assists and four steals. Ken Bingham and Zack Frey led the Lions with 20 points apiece.

For the game, Trevecca made 33-56 (59%) from the field, including 4-10 from 3-point range, and converted 25-32 free throws (78%). Freed-Hardeman shot 45% (31-69), including 10-29 (35%) from 3-point range, and knocked down 15 of 21 free throws (71%).

The Trojans will now host Fisk (1-19) on Saturday at 4pm.
