NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca (6-0) took two from visiting Covenant College (0-4) on Thursday.
Riley Mashburn (3-0) paced the Trojans with a complete game performance in the circle. Mashburn pitched five innings and allowed four runs, three earned and struck out seven. Covenant had four hits and picked up three walks.

Trevecca hit three home runs as Megan Hemmingsen, Mashburn, and Kelsey Lantrip all went deep. Lantrip was 1-2 with two runs scored, a walk, and two RBI's. Hemmingsen was 2-3 with a run scored and three RBI. Breanna Zeis was 2-3 with two runs scored, an RBI, and a double.

In the second game Trevecca's Lauren Baker (3-0) last seven innings and nearly pulled off the shutout, but gave up a solo home run in the seventh. Baker allowed five hits, two walks, and a run. Baker had 14 strikeouts.

Mashburn and Puertas had doubles and Hemmingsen had a two-run home run.

Trevecca will start conference play on Tuesday when they visit Martin Methodist (4-2) in Pulaski, Tenn. for a 2 p.m. double header.
