JACKSON, Tenn. - In No. 19 Trevecca (21-10) game with No. 1 Union (31-1) in the Semifinal round of the TranSouth Tournament on Friday night, Trevecca's Christian Gibson (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.) eclipsed the 1000 career scoring mark. Gibson, a senior point guard, became the third Trojan on this year's team he 11th all-time to reach the scoring milestone.

Christian Gibson did so in fine fashion, with a game-high 22 points. Gibson also had a game-high seven rebounds and four steals. The senior also added three assists and a block while hitting 8-11 from the field, 2-5 from 3-point range, and all four free throws.

Gibson now has 1011 points and has 387 assists, 365 rebounds, and 240 steals. The All-TranSouth Second Team performer has a career 37.3% 3-point percentage and leads the TranSouth this season in steals. The former Mt. Juliet Bear has a career-high 83 steals this season.
