GULF SHORES, Ala. - The Trevecca Lady Trojan softball team (14-0) continued its hot streak, winning its
second game of the day Friday evening, with a 10-3 win over Columbia College, Mo. (8-4) at the Gulf Coast (Ala.) Invitational.

The Trojans banged out 12 hits, including three more home runs, which brings their season total to 33 in just 14 games played. Anais Puertas led the attack, going 3-5 with two home runs, four runs batted in and three runs scored. Puertas now has a team-leading eight home runs on the season. Megan Hemmingsen also added a 2-run blast, and Kelsey Lantrip had two hits and two runs scored.   

Riley Mashburn (7-0) picked up the win, giving up eight hits and three runs---two of them earned---while striking out four and walking only one.

Trevecca will play three more games Saturday, starting with a 9 a.m. matchup with Montreat College (11-10), followed by a 3 p.m. matchup with NAIA #6 William Carey University and then at 7 p.m. is a battle with NAIA #RV Belhaven University.  The Trojans return home on Monday for a doubleheader with the University of Rio Grande that gets underway at 3 p.m.
