PICKWICK DAM, Tenn. - The Trevecca men's golf team played the second round of the Trevecca Nazarene/Martin Methodist Challenge on Friday at Pickwick Landing State Park outside of Savannah, Tenn., a course that played to a Par 72 over 6,483 yards.
The Trojans topped the RedHawks on day two, finishing 10 strokes ahead of Martin over the top four scorers for each team. Trevecca combined for a total score of 301, while the RedHawk golfers combined for a team total of 311. Trojan golfer Joey Bradley had the low round of the day with a 70 (-2), while William Potts (76), Skip Jones (77), David Saldana (78), Grant Moffett (78) Josh Fields (85), and Rece Martin (86) were the other Trojan golfers. Martin was led by Blake Moore and Logan Pressnell, who each shot a 75, while Matt Holland (80), Andy Beckham (81), Terrence Howard (85), and Will Walker (88) were the other RedHawk participants.
Thanks to their strong showing Friday, the Trojans win the overall challenge with a two-day total of 614, compared to the 617 cumulative score shot by Martin Methodist. Trevecca's Joey Bradley was the medalist with a two-day total of 76-70 = 146 (+2).
The Trojans will host the Trevecca Spring Invitational
at Old Hickory C.C. in Old Hickory, Tenn. on March 22-23. The team is
looking for volunteers to help with the operation of the tournament. If
