ROME, Ga. - The Trevecca women's golf team will being the Spring portion of their schedule in the Berry College Invitational at the Coosa Country Club on March 15-16, 2010. The tournament has a stout field with 17 teams and 90 golfers competing.

Trevecca is the five-time defending TranSouth Athletic Conference Champions. Ashley Birdwell, a sophomore from Donelson Christian Academy, is the defending TranSouth Tournament Medalist and Freshman of the Year. Senior Betsy Beaver, a three-time All-TranSouth performer from Dayton, Ohio, is also a former TranSouth Tournament Medalist and Freshman of the Year. Another senior, Alyssa Moe from Desert Hills, Ariz., is a former All-TranSouth performer. The team is led by five-time TranSouth Coach of the Year Michael Johnson, who led the team to the program's first appearance at the NAIA National Tournament last season.
