PULASKI, Tenn. - Anais Puertas of Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University has been selected TranSouth Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending March 14, 2010.
Puertas, an outfielder from Estado Carabobo, Venezuela recorded a hit in all seven of the game the Trojans played in last week for a .519 average. She had five home runs including a grand-slam. Puertas also recorded 11 RBI and scored 10 runs. Trevecca had wins last week over NAIA top ranked teams including No. 12 Shorter (Ga.) College and RV Columbia (Mo.) College. The Trojans are 15-2 overall this season. This is the second week in a row that Puertas has been chosen the TranSouth Player of the Week.
Trevecca is now 17-2 on the season, including a 15-0 start to the season.
