OLD HICKORY, Tenn. - The Bethel University Wildcats lead after day one of the 2010 Trevecca Men's Golf Spring Invitational at the Old Hickory Country Club.

The men are playing on the par-71, 6,617-yard layout of the Old Hickory Country Club. There are a total of seven teams and 49 golfers competing.

Bethel totaled a 303 on Monday, scoring four rounds in the 70's. The Wildcats lead Trevecca Nazarene University, Lambuth University, and Cumberland University, who all posted a team score of 304, by one stroke. Union University, ranked No. 22, is three strokes back of the trio at 307, with Christian Brothers University (320) and Lyon College (343) rounding out the men's field.

Individually, Guy Nardo of Cumberland University leads with a 1-over 72, one stroke free of Dane Voss, playing as an individual, a stroke back at 73. Trevecca's Joey Bradley is apart of group of four golfers are tied for third with a 2-over 74. Ryan Chandler of Union, Aaron Ingalls of Lambuth, and Simon Beck of Cumberland all shot 84 on Monday.

For the Trevecca men, Bradley's two-over 74 was combined with a three-over 75 performance by Grant Moffett, a five-over 77 from David Saldana, and a seven-over 78 from William Potts. Skip Jones carded an 83 in the opening round. Playing for Trevecca as unattached individuals, Rece Martin carded 82 and Josh Fields turned in a 93.

The 2010 Trevecca Men's Golf Spring Invitational continues Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. CT with 18 holes.
