SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Trevecca women's golf team completed play Tuesday in the Savannah College of Arts and Design
Spring Invitational. SCAD hosted the event at the 5,809-yard, par 71
Wilmington Island Club in Savannah, Ga. There were 14 teams and 82
golfers participating.
Trevecca finished 13th out of 14 teams, with a total team score of (355-375) 730. USC-Beaufort won the tournament with a (317-315) 632 team score.
Whitney Phillips was the top Trojan golfer, finishing with a (91-92) 183, tied for 58th individually. The
other Trojan golfers participating were Betsy Beaver (88-96) and Maddie
Privott (91-93), both with 184, Ashley Birdwell with a (85-101) 186 and
Alyssa Moe with a (93-94) 187. SCAD's Nikki Stewart (74-79-153) took
home individual honors, winning a three-way playoff with Berry's Jayne
Curtis (78-75-153) and USC-Beaufort's Kaitlin O'Sullivan (77-76-153) on
the second hole of sudden death.
Trevecca is set to play in the TranSouth Conference Tournament April 12-13 at Pickwick Landing State Park in Savannah, Tenn.
