PICKWICK DAM, Tenn. - The Trevecca women's golf team will be defending TranSouth Championship this week at the 2010 TranSouth Women's Golf Championship. The 36-hole championship is being held April 12-13 at the Pickwick Landing State Park Golf Course. Trevecca has won the last five tournament championships.

Trevecca's roster includes two golfers who have won the Individual Medalist trophy. Betsy Beaver (2007) and Ashley Birdwell (2009) have earned the top spot as well as capturing the Freshman of the Year honor. Both were named to the All-TranSouth team last year. Beaver is a three-time member of the All-Conference team. Alyssa Moe, also a member of the Trojans contingent, made the All-Conference team in 2008.  

Michael Johnson, coach of the Trojans, has been named the TranSouth Coach of the Year in each of the past five seasons.
