PICKWICK DAM, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team finished third out of six teams competing in the 2010 TranSouth Athletic Conference Men's Golf Tournament Monday and Tuesday at Pickwick Landing State Park near Savannah, Tenn. The Pickwick Landing course was playing to a par of 72 over 6,483 yards.
 
Union won the tournament, with a team total of 298-292-289=879, while Cumberland finished second at 290-301-293=884. The Trojans improved their score every round, shooting 311-290-289=890, with their 289 round three score tying Union for the best team score of Tuesday's final round. Bethel (929), Martin Methodist (954), and Lyon (1,019) rounded out the rest of the finishing order for the tournament.

Trevecca's 290 in the second round also equaled the best team total of that round.
 
Individually, Trevecca's Joey Bradley (76-71-70=217) and David Saldana (77-71-69=217) finished tied for second place overall, three shots behind medalist Clay Mallard of Union (68-73-73=214). Sam Bass of Bethel shot a 67 on Tuesday for the best score of the final round, with Saldana and Cumberland's Guy Nardo both shooting a 69 to tie for second. Also scoring for the Trojans were Grant Moffett in 12th, with a total of 76-75-75=226, Skip Jones in 17th at 83-73-78=234, and William Potts in 23rd at 82-86-75=243.
