PICKWICK DAM, Tenn. - The Trevecca women's golf team saw its five-year run of TranSouth Conference Tournament championships come to an end Tuesday, as they finished second with a total team score of 347-353=700. Bethel University won the championship, with a total score of 342-330=672, with Lyon (379-370=749) third and Martin Methodist (381-388=769) fourth.

Betsy Beaver was the highest finishing individual for Trevecca, shooting 83-89=172 to finish in fifth place, nine shots back of individual medalist Emily Muse of Bethel (83-80=163). Beaver, the tournament Medalist in 2007, made the All-TranSouth team with her performance. The rest of Trevecca's finishers: Maddie Privott (88-86=174, ninth), Alyssa Moe (88-87=175, 10th), Ashley Birdwell (88-91=179, T-12th), and Whitney Phillips (88-94=182, 15th).

Next up the Trojans, the NAIA National Tournament Qualifier, which takes place April 26-27 at Bull Creek Golf Club in Columbus, Ga.
