MIDLAND, Ga - The Trevecca women's golf team finished 6th at the NAIA Unaffiliated National Tournament Qualifier at Bull Creek East Golf Course. There were 10 teams and 47 golfers competing.

The course, located near Columbus, Ga., played to a par of 72 over 5965 yards. The winner, Shorter College, advances to the NAIA National Tourmament. Trevecca made their first appearance at the NAIA Tournament last season, but fell short this season.

The Lady Trojans carded a (354-347) 701, while Shorter College topped the field with a (333-339) 672. Spring Hill College (335-342) 677 was 2nd place.

Senior Betsy Beaver, in her final tournament in a the Purple and White, was the low Trojan (84-84) 168, placing her 10th place overall. Mobile's Maegan Rice was the Medalist with a (78-73) 151.

Ashley Birdwell carded an (87-90) 177 for 16th place and was followed by Alyssa Moe at (93-85) 178, Maddie Privott totaled a (93-88) 181, and Whitney Phillips finished with a (90-94) 184.

For Betsy Beaver it ends a stellar career that included finishing as the 2007 TranSouth Medalist,

All-TranSouth team, and Freshman of the Year. Beaver was  a four-time All-TranSouth selection, three-time TranSouth Scholar-Athlete, and two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

This year, the Dayton, Ohio native, was Trevecca's top performer in five the the eight tournaments played and recorded the second best Trevecca score in the other three events. The Strebbins High School product finished in the top 10 of four of the eight events this year. She had a fifth place,  two 6th place, and a seventh place finish this year. For her efforts she made the All-Tournament team at the Trevecca Fall Classic and the TranSouth Conference Tournament.

Alyssa Moe also saw her three-year career at Trevecca come to an end. Aside from helping the team to a pair of TranSouth Championships and the schools first trip to the NAIA National Championship, Moe was All-TranSouth and All-TranSouth Tournament as a sophomore. Moe, a two-time TranSouth Scholar-Athlete, held the teams second best scoring average as a junior. In her first tournament of her junior season she posted a 79, one of the lowest rounds in program history.
