NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca volleyball coach Jayme Crowley is pleased to announce the signing of Kristen Johnson, a 5'9" RH/OH from Independence High School, to her 2010-2011 recruiting class.
"Kristen is an incredibly talented student-athlete who has accomplished great things in her high school career," said Coach Crowley. "We expect her to accomplish great success at TNU in the same way.
Johnson was a four-year varsity starter during her career at Independence, helping lead her team to the 2008 TSSAA State Championship. She was named to the all-district team in 2008 & 2009, the all-district tournament team in 2009, the all-midstate third team in 2008, and the all-midstate second team in 2009.
"Kristen has solid ball control skills, athleticism, composure and experience that I expect her to utilize immediately to make a difference in our program," said Coach Crowley. "Kristen is another great mission fit for our university. She will be a leader by example both on and off the court. We are excited and blessed to sign such a high caliber person and player to our 2010-2011 program."
