NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca softball coach Ben Tyree is pleased to announce the signing of Kari Mason, a 5'6" infielder from Springfield, Tenn. Mason is currently playing for Coach Johnny Littrell at Columbia State CC. She becomes the third recruit in Coach Tyree's 2010-2011 signing class.

"We welcome Kari to our team and are very excited to get her here," said Coach Tyree. "Kari is having a great year and we have been waiting for this day for some time.

Mason currently ranks fifth in the TCCAA for the 2010 season with a .477 batting average. She was named second team All-TCCAA for the 2009 season. At East Robertson High School, Mason was a member of the TSWA All-State team.

"Kari comes from a great family and she will bring some very good athletic ability and will be expected to compete for playing time right away," said Coach Tyree. "We are looking forward to seeing her in a Lady Trojan uniform for the next couple of years."

Kari is the daughter of Andy and Denise Mason.
