Robbie Wilson
Head Coach
The 2011-2012 season marks the sixth year for Robbie Wilson at the helm of the Trevecca men's golf program.
During the last five years Wilson has directed tremendous growth in the still young program. His fourth season showed marked success. The team had a pair of golfers (Grant Moffett and David Saldana) share third place at the TranSouth Athletic Conference Tournament, and the team finished third overall.
The 2010-2011 team picked up a nice win, beating Union in the Greystone Cup, a Ryder-Cup type, head-to-head event, for the second year in a row. The Trojans also finished second at the Trevecca Spring Invitational and third at the Martin Methodist Redhawk Invitational.
Joey Bradley took medalist honors twice, winning the North Alabama Fall Invitational and the Union Invitational in the spring. Bradley also finished second at the Lindsey Wilson Fall Invitational.
The promise of greater team strength began to reveal itself in the 2008-2009 season. Joey Bradley was named the TranSouth Freshman of the Year and made the All-TranSouth Team. The team shot out to a first-round lead at the TranSouth Tournament. The team defeated Martin Methodist in the Trevecca/Martin Methodist Challenge, and Bradley secured his first Medalist honors at the Bluegrass Invitational.
Wilson's second team was led by Will Scism, who produced a second-place finish at the TranSouth Tournament and made the all-conference team. Scism was the Trevecca/Martin Methodist Challenge Medalist, leading the team to victory.
In Wilson's first season at the helm of the program, David King and Edward Yu made the All-TranSouth Team. His work was evident as Will Scism posted a record single round and two-day total with a (70-75) 145 at the North Alabama Invitational.
Wilson was a standout four-year player for the Trojans after having a distinguished career at Davidson Academy in Nashville, Tenn.
