Danny Leavy
Head Coach
The 2011-2012 season will be the third for Danny Leavy at the helm of the Trevecca men's soccer program. Leavy, the fourth men's soccer coach in program history, is 11-20-2 in his two seasons at Trevecca.
The 2010-2011 Trojans got off to a promising start, going 3-2-1 heading into their first conference match at Mid-Continent. But Trevecca dropped eight of their final 10 matches, including six of seven in TranSouth Conference play. Coach Leavy did have eight players honored as TranSouth Scholar-Athletes, one player named First Team All-TranSouth and another player named Second Team All-TranSouth.
Leavy's coaching experience includes a head coaching stop at Cincinnati (Ohio) Christian University from 2000-2002. There he was named the NCCAA Division II Mid-East Regional Coach of the Year after leading his team to the NCCAA Division II Mid-East Regional Championship and a NCCAA Division II No. 8 final ranking. He was an assistant at Muskingum College from 2002-2006 before being tipped to start the men's soccer program at Ohio Christian University in 2006.
From 2007-2008 he served as the Director of Coaching at Pride Soccer Club in Colorado Springs, Colo. There he oversaw 30 teams. His latest venture is serving as Director of On Goal Ministries in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, he has a wealth of club team coaching experience.
Leavy graduated from Trinity International (Chicago, Ill.) in 2000 with a bachelor of arts degree in Christian ministries. He earned his masters of arts in education from Muskingum College (Ohio) in 2005. Additionally, he is credited with a National Diploma from the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America), and an Advanced National Diploma from (NSCAA), and a Fitness in Football (soccer) Level 1 accreditation from English FA.
He played collegiately at NCAA Division II Colorado Christian University and NAIA Trinity International University.
Trevecca had a men's soccer program for one season during the 1991-1992 school year. Jon Curtis coached the team that season. Trevecca hired Stan Herod to bring back men's soccer for the 2000-2001 school year. Herod led the program for four seasons prior to Jeff Carr, who is now at Brevard Community College in Florida.
