Donny Maciel - 2011 Men's Soccer Recruit
MF | 5-7 | Morelia, Mexico | Oak Mountain HSNASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Nazarene University is pleased to announce the addition of Donny Maciel of Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham, Ala., to the men's soccer program's 2011-2012 recruiting class.
The 5-foot seven Maciel, originally from Morelia, Mexico, played for Coach Ryan Patridge at Oak Mountain, where he earned Shelby County Player of the Year honors while leading the Eagles to the Alabama Class 6A state championship as a senior. He tallied eight goals and 12 assists and was named to the 2011 Birmingham News All-Metro boys soccer team.
Donny is one of two sons of Martin and Irma Maciel, and he will be joined by his brother Francisco on the Trevecca men's soccer roster this fall.
