NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Trojan baseball coach Jonathan Burton has signed Scott Lynn for the 2009-2010 season.
Lynn, a 6'2" catcher and first baseman from College Grove, Tenn., joins the mix after playing his high school baseball at Page High School under former Trojan outfielder Nathan Brown. While at Page, Lynn batted .348 with seven doubles, 22 RBI, and 27 Runs scored. The two-time All-District 10-AA honoree also earned a pair of gold glove awards as well.
"We are very excited about signing a player of Scott's potential," remarked coach Burton. "We feel that he has the ability to not only catch but play first base as well. He has a tremendous work ethic that will push the upperclassmen each and everyday."
Scott Lynn joins Luke Fennell (College Grove, Tenn.), Codi Webb (College Grove, Tenn.), and Michael Son (Vincennes University) for next year's squad.
The Trojans are coming of a season that saw them post a 37-16 mark, and win the regular season in the TranSouth Conference at 17-3 - their third TranSouth regular season crown in four years.
