NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Coach Jonathan Burton and the Trevecca baseball program are pleased to announce the signing of Luke Fennell for the 2009-2010 season.



Fennell, a 5'10" catcher from Franklin, Tenn., played his high school baseball at Centennial High School in Franklin, Tenn. In 2007, Fennell was named the Greater Nashville Area Baseball Association Super League MVP. In 2008, Fennell hit .325 with 19 runs scored and 15 RBI. For his efforts he earned All-District 11-AAA, and all-region 5/6 honors.



"Luke is the kind of person that we want here at Trevecca," said coach Burton. "He embraces his role as a player and student athlete while representing himself as a good teammate. We are expecting Luke to continue developing and becoming a steady contributor behind the plate."



Fennell joins Codi Webb (College Grove, Tenn.) and Michael Son (Vincennes University) for next year's squad.



The Trojans are coming of a season that saw them post a 37-16 mark, and win the regular season in the TranSouth Conference at 17-3 - their third TranSouth regular season crown in four years.
