Chris Hale - 2010 Baseball Recruit

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Trojan baseball coach Jonathan Burton has signed Chris Hale for the 2009-2010 season.
Hale, a 6'2" first baseman from Harpeth, Tenn., joins the Trojans after playing at Columbia State Community College. While at Columbia State in 2008, Hale batted .435 for the season, belted six homers and 14 doubles, knocked in 38 runs, and scored 33 times.
"Chris was the first player we signed for the 2009-10 season," remarked coach Burton. "His presence in the middle of our order will give us a huge offensive boost. He has the ability to be one of our most consistent hitters. Chris is a much needed addition at first base after losing 13 seniors in 2009."
Hale joins Blake Payton (Sylacauga, Ala.), Greg Casebier (Hopkinsville, Ky.), BJ Boston (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.), Scott Lynn (College Grove, Tenn.), Luke Fennell (College Grove, Tenn.), Codi Webb (College Grove, Tenn.), and Michael Son (Vincennes University) for next year's squad.
The Trojans are coming of a season that saw them post a 37-16 mark, and win the regular season in the TranSouth Conference at 17-3 - their third TranSouth regular season crown in four years.
