NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca head volleyball coach Jayme Crowley has signed her first player for the 2009-2010 school year. Maddie Burford, a 5'11" middle blocker from Centennial (Franklin, Tenn.) High School, has signed to play for the Trojans beginning the fall of 2009.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca head volleyball coach Jayme Crowley has signed her first player for the 2009-2010 school year. Maddie Burford, a 5'11" middle blocker from Centennial (Franklin, Tenn.) High School, has signed to play for the Trojans beginning the fall of 2009.
Coach
Crowley commented, "We are very blessed to have Maddie Burford in our
program. She is a young lady with outstanding character traits and leadership
skills. Secondly, Maddie is extremely intelligent with a 3.90 grade point
average. Finally, she will contribute with her volleyball skills and talents as
a middle blocker because of her finesse, power, and great court sense."
"We expect her to be an impact player during her career at Trevecca."
Burford was a three-year letter winner at Centennial under coach Sharon Rhinehart. The 2008 team captain was honored with selection to the All-District team in her junior and senior seasons. In 2007, she was named best blocker and best hitter on her way to helping lead the Cougars to a third place finish in the State Tournament.
