NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca baseball coach Jonathan Burton has added Corey Crunk of Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Riverdale High School to his 2010 recruiting class.

Crunk is one of the most versatile players the Riverdale baseball program has seen in recent years. The senior utility infielder, who batted .282 with a .403 on-base percentage last season, will suit up for the Trojans in the Spring of 2010.

Coach Jonathan Burton in excited to ink another local product, "Corey is a great high school local sign for us. He works as hard as anyone and can play multiple positions. We feel like Corey is capable of becoming a great player when he learns our system. He has the desire to get better everyday which will push our incoming freshman and upperclassmen each and everyday."

"Trevecca's a good baseball program, and there's a chance to play early, because they're losing 13 seniors after this year," Crunk said.

Crunk, a 5'7" utility player, helped lead the Warriors to the District 7-AAA championship game in May of 2008. He feels like Trevecca will be a good fit for him on the diamond and in the classroom.

"It's a great school with a tremendous teacher-to-student ratio," Crunk said.
