NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca men's basketball coach Sam Harris is pleased to announce the signing of Marquise Rudolph of Clarksville Northwest High School for the 2009-2010 season.

Rudolph, a 5'11" point guard from Clarksville, Tenn., averaged 23 points per game as a senior which ranked third in the mid-state. He also grabbed six rebounds per game and dished out five assists per contest. At Northwest, Rudolph ran up a career total of 1,345 points in his career, earning All-District 10AAA honors as a junior and a senior and he posted a career high against Rossview in the 10AAA tournament.

"Marquise is a player who will impact our program early on," said coach Harris. "He can handle the ball and can score from outside and he'll be a great open court player that can get to the rim. He will push the tempo and help us return to the style of play we feel makes us most successful, up-tempo play. He is a quality person and comes from a wonderful family. We look forward to the next four years with Marquise on our campus."

Russell Malone, Rudolph's coach at Northwest High School, says, "Marquise is a quality basketball player but more importantly a quality person. He exhibited a high level of leadership on and off the floor for us this past season. I am extremely proud of him and what he has been able to accomplish at Northwest. The future is very bright for him and Trevecca Nazarene University."
