NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca women's basketball coach Gary Van Atta is pleased to announce the signing of McGavock (Nashville) High School's Anissa Ragland for the 2009-2010 school year.

Van Atta commented, "Nissa will make a huge impact on our team and the TranSouth. She is an incredible athlete, student and an even better person. She exemplifies the type of student we are proud to have at Trevecca. Nissa rounds another top notch recruiting class."

Ragland, a 6'0" senior forward, has posted some impressive career numbers while at McGavock. As a three-year starter for the Lady Raiders, she has averaged 11.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.3 blocked shots per game. She also boasts field goal percentage of 63% and shoots 70% from the foul line.

Ragland has helped lead McGavock to a 59-15 record over her stay as a Lady Raider. Ragland joins London Elie (6'2" Lebanon HS), Destiny Dishman (6'0" Stone Memorial HS), and Lauren Wasson (5'9" Wilson Central HS) to round out the Trojans recruiting class for 2009-2010.
