Whitney Phillips - 2010 Women's Golf Recruit

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca women's golf coach Michael Johnson has signed Whitney Phillips, of Goodlettsville, Tenn. to play for the Trojans starting with the 2009-2010 season.

Phillips is a senior at Davidson Academy where the Bears are the defending TSSAA Division II Class A State Champions. Phillips finished fourth overall.

The team has already won this year's Regional Tournament and are in preparations to defend their state title October 14-15 at the Old Fort Course in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Phillips has already posted several impressive scores this year. She had a 79 in the Davidson Academy Invitational at Old Hickory Country Club.She had a 78 in the Father Ryan Invitational at Temple Hills Golf Course and finished second overall as the team won the event.

She finished second in this year's Regional with an 81 at River Bend Country Club. Phillips placed second at the Regional after a playoff tiebreaker.
