Cortney Keagle - 2009 Volleyball Recruit

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca volleyball coach Jayme Crowley has added to her first recruiting class. Cortney Keagle, a junior
college transfer from Danville (Illinois) Community
College, will join the roster in the fall of 2009.
Keagle, a
6'1" middle blocker, was a two-year starter for Danville and captained the 2008 team. She was
active with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) while at Danville. The Oakwood (Ill.) High School graduate was a two-sport
athlete in volleyball and basketball.
Coach
Crowley says, "We are pleased to have Cortney join our program. She's already
made a notable difference in our program with her positive leadership,
Christian modeling and outstanding work ethic."
"She joined
us this spring and made huge strides in her growth as a student-athlete due to
her willingness to learn and hard working ways. Her height and strength are
huge factors for her to become a force as a Middle Blocker. There is no doubt
that she is a goal setter and dreamer and I expect her to report to camp
prepared to make an immediate impact this fall."
Cortney
attended South Side Church
of the Nazarene in Oakwood and there was elected as the 2008 NYI (Nazarene
Youth International) President. As NYI president, she represented youth from
ages 12-25 on the Church board. Cortney is majoring in Nursing at Trevecca.
