Chad Reynolds - 2010 Baseball Recruit

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca baseball coach Jonathan Burton is pleased to announce the signing of Chad Reynolds from Cuesta Community College for the 2009-2010 season.
 
Reynolds, a 6'1" third baseman from Santa Maria, Cailf., earned second team all-Western State Conference honors in 2009. He played 43 games at the hot corner, hitting .301 with 55 hits, including 10 doubles. He recorded two triples and two homers and knocked in 33 runs while posting an on-base percentage of .366 and a slugging percentage of .410. His play helped lead Cuesta to the Western State Conference Championship.
 
"Chad is a big sign for us," remarked Burton. "He has the potential to be a big run producer in our lineup and plays very hard defensively. He will be a welcome addition to our team and will make the younger kids around him even better. We really like Chad's makeup and we feel that he will be a guy that we can hang our hat on at third and know what we are going to get each and everyday."
 
Reynolds joins a recruiting class that already included 15 players, eight of whom are junior college transfers.
